Spring Fling in Seoul - Arriving at Yeouido Park

Image
The moment we saw this stair with cherry blossom art, I knew this is it.  I was excited to see what's out there to see.  And this is my first glimpse of the cherry blossom in a perfect spring day! I think this is a welcome stage of the festival, but I was somewhat disappointed because I expected the place to be really filled with CB trees.  The trees I can see a bit further was not enough to satisfy my imagination.  I thought ito lang... Then we were told that we have to leave now because this is not the real place.  The place is farther ahead.  The guys with Jacel walked so fast. Not really fast but their strides were bigger than ours.  Since I walked alone, not together with the other 3 ladies, I walked next to the guys. I tried to keep them in sight because I cannot imagine what would happen if I get lost in the crowd. The crowd was quite big. So much people because it was the first day or opening day of the festival. We have to walked a kilo

Surigao del Sur Escapade: Enchanted at The Enchanted River

Image
Yay after a year, it's like I am able to make a summary of our summer 2015 escapade in Surigao del Sur that covered The Enchanted River, Tinuy-an Falls, and the Britania group of Islands. I may forget some minute details but I will try to narrate what I can remember according to the pics posted here. Disclaimer : All photos used in this post are mine, unless stated otherwise . Before coming, I have heard a lot about Enchanted River.  I've seen it many times online (thanks to Google). Many times I have wished that one day, I will be able to see and feel its waters - and that one day happened in July 2015. After traveling the whole night, we arrived at HInatuan before six o'lock in the morning.  We were one of the few who were early birds. We thought we were the first but nah. Never mind though.  The important thing is that we arrived safe and sound and the drivers can take their rest and few hours wink. I feel our faces are puffy after the whole night trip b

Spring Fling in Seoul - To Yeouido Park

Image
After a couple of hours sleep, we were excited to start the day.  First stop of the day was Yeouido Park for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Major places on the list though is the cherry blossom at Yeouido and the Gyeongbokgung Palace. In this post, I will be sharing a glimpse of where we we stayed during our stay in Seoul.  Then the train ride from our place to the park. We arrived late and raining the night before, so we really do not know what's outside our door that is why were are excited to go out and see Seoul.  There were six of us to share one bathroom, so we started our real morning at 6am.  Some prepared breakfast while some started bath.  We took turns in using the bathroom.  Thanks to the heater, the water was comfortable to use.  Almost ready.  Our friend Jasper came.  He is our high school and college school mate.  Though batches apart, but the thought that we came from same school, we kind of connect anytime.  That's the MMA camaraderie and the MVC broth

Facebook Flashback | June 15, 2012

What I love with Facebook Flashbacks are the travel pics I shared a year or many years ago.  So I thought of posting these flashbacks here in my blog, since I do not have a narrative post of any of my previous travels or even a postcard type (photo sharing with short description). I will start with what's shared today.  @the Resort's Bar  We were admiring the decorative wine bottles @the balcony of one of their cottages These are pics of Tata and me at Thalatta Resort in Dumaguete City.  We just hope in there for awhile (photo opps) because we found ourselves passing by their resort while doing our morning walk. There were three (3) of us.  Me, Lalay, and Tata. For sure, it was Lalay who took this photo, since he is not included in the picture. We did two things here: 1.  We took pictures 2.  I bought postcards for my collection Oh this is my first time in Dumaguete en route to Siquijor Island. :)

Tinago Falls | Unexpected Visit

Image
This is such a welcome sight after days of short-hours sleep!  Should I turned down the invitation - I will surely miss this view. Haven't been here in awhile - She's a beauty that gives out a message to any visitor leaving,  "come visit me again". The trek down is easy breezy but my challenge is in the long hike going back.  With my weight and clumsyness issues - i never make it to the top in 5 minutes, even if I piggy ride a strong porter's back. lol! I hope that the visitors we brought here yesterday enjoyed the view as much as I did. Maayong Iligan!

Living in this internet ear, we all love to be connected with the people we love and care about any time but much more especially when we are far from them.  I experienced being on the road for several days and I have no connection because of zero telecom signal.  It's nice in some way because it feels like you are cut out from the world.  A day or two is good but for seven days, nah! I get kinda crazy.  This shall not happen again!  Never.  Why? Here's why... Tada! A Smart Bro 4G Pocket Wifi! Very light and handy that its size and weight makes it so convenient to be carried around.  Even in evening formal dinners, it's easy to slip in your sexy pouch!  So whenever I hit the road where ever it may be, this pocket wifi is one of the important things I carry in my bag. Here are the reasons why I grabbed this smart stuff: - it's cheap! Only at Php 888.00. - FREE Internet for 3 months (pre-load) (350 MB/month) - it's a great barkad
