Mt. Apo Highland Resort [Mirror Lake}

I had the chance to visit Mt. Apo Highland Resort (Mirror and Hillside) in Kapatagan Valley in Digos, Davao Sur. It was the 2nd tourist spot the participants and organizers of the Davao Food Appreciation Tour visited during the event.  It was the second itinerary for our May 5, 2012

Personally, I was so excited because it was my first time.  Everyone seems eager to hurdle the more than an hour travel to highlands.  When were awed by the view we saw.  Let me share some of them through the following photos:

Name of the resort ^^ Indeed the lake is a mirror because you will be inspired of the reflection of nature seen in the water.



Here's a reflection of the trees.



Some of there good for four (4) persons cottages.



These cottages is good for 2 but if an additional foam can be added if there are more than two of you.
Additional bed also means additional payment.

I thought it's another building - not a CR of course!
I've never been inside but the place seems clean and there was no complains from those who used it.



The sofa below the cottage that's good for 4.  It rained for a moment and those seats were used.

I wish I can share some pics with me in it, but they are at home at the moment.  It took me 2 weeks and more to finish this post so you can really imagine how tight my sked is.  But I hope to make more updates in the coming week.

    Wow, what a lovely experience sis! Would want to visit and hike, if possible at Mt.Apo din!

    I've been planning to visit this place but could not seem to have the opportunity. It seems like a nice place to sit back and just relax. Visiting thru Tuesday travels here.

    So many beautiful places to visit in Mindanao. I hope I can visit that place soon. I want to get close to nature as much as possible.

Lake Apo: The Plan and the Visit

The first time I saw Lake Apo in the Facebook account of the owner, Dr. Almer Alfonso, I said to myself, I am going there.  So I clicked Like on the photo and then later ask Dr. Almer how to get there.  Summer was over and first semester started and I still can't put into my schedule a trip to Bukidnon.  I desired to see the place alone.  But then thinking it would be more fun to have company, I tagged the photo to my fellow Iligan blogger, Pinay Travelista .  I am betting she got a mole on her foot thus her travel blog.   Indeed she agreed to make me realize my wish without a second thought.  We thought we could make it last August during the last weekend where Iligan enjoyed a long weekend.   But Dr. Almer was on vacation in the US.  September made us really busy for the planning of the coming MBS5 so the plan was put aside to an unknown schedule. Spring Fling in Seoul - Arriving at Yeouido Park

The moment we saw this stair with cherry blossom art, I knew this is it.  I was excited to see what's out there to see.  And this is my first glimpse of the cherry blossom in a perfect spring day! I think this is a welcome stage of the festival, but I was somewhat disappointed because I expected the place to be really filled with CB trees.  The trees I can see a bit further was not enough to satisfy my imagination.  I thought ito lang... Then we were told that we have to leave now because this is not the real place.  The place is farther ahead.  The guys with Jacel walked so fast. Not really fast but their strides were bigger than ours.  Since I walked alone, not together with the other 3 ladies, I walked next to the guys.
