Spring Fling in Seoul - To Yeouido Park

Image
After a couple of hours sleep, we were excited to start the day.  First stop of the day was Yeouido Park for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Major places on the list though is the cherry blossom at Yeouido and the Gyeongbokgung Palace. In this post, I will be sharing a glimpse of where we we stayed during our stay in Seoul.  Then the train ride from our place to the park. We arrived late and raining the night before, so we really do not know what's outside our door that is why were are excited to go out and see Seoul.  There were six of us to share one bathroom, so we started our real morning at 6am.  Some prepared breakfast while some started bath.  We took turns in using the bathroom.  Thanks to the heater, the water was comfortable to use.  Almost ready.  Our friend Jasper came.  He is our high school and college school mate.  Though batches apart, but the thought that we came from same school, we kind of connect anytime. ...

Macau: July 23 - Day 1 (Part II)

Image
I have to make my posts into several parts because my whole was made up eight hours or more and for the first day I have almost six hundred photos taken. This is the first part and now this post is the 2nd.  My eye sight is no longer that perfect so I love my photos in big resolution. I like using the attachment feature of this theme when posting my photos, but it is giving me a hard time in the paragraph spacing, so I am still uploading my resized pics into Photobucket. Dagdag buhaton. But I do not mind. I just wish I have all the time to make post. This is one of my favorite travel quotes. Most times we love to go out but the fear of taking the chance and face the risks, hinder us from doing so. For me, I almost regretted why I chose Macau as my first place to do my "bucket list" solo travel when I heard the bus driver shouted the man with big luggage to go down the bus. The guy was suppose to go up ahead of me, and my host ahead of him. I really did not unde...

Hello July!

Image
How time flies! I was asleep last night and woke up at 3:45 am only to realized that it is already July! Oh July, I am glad you are here because for so many reasons. Maybe a few I can share it here in this post. First . I love that July is here because this is my birthday month. I am hoping that July will really surprise me. Some dreaded for their birthdays to come. Not for me. Even though I don't celebrate it lavishly like others can afford, but still I am happiness during my natal day. Even if it is a working day and a toxic one, still I am not stopped to tell my friends it is my birthday and happily say "thanks" when they greet me. Second . This is also my mom's birthday. In the past years before she died, I often tried to celebrate her birthday more than I do with mine. I feel hers is real special because three days after her birthday in 1972, she gave birth to me. I was her first baby. :) Third . I just think that people who are having birthday...

Weekend at the College Heights

Image
Mountain View College is located in Valencia City, Bukidnon.  It is not very far from Iligan City but due to time and sometimes finances, getting there or spending time there is treated a luxury.  The last time I visited the campus was in December 2009 when my daughter joined the NMC-wide Pathfinder camping.  And to think of it, I only had a day to go around the familiar nooks of the campus. The latest visit allowed me to stay a full two days because I attended the re-opening program of DxCR on October 6, a Thursday.  I am not in the right position to question why the program falls on a Thursday instead I made it a point that I can take a leave that day.  Thinking that it would be a hassle to travel back after the program, so I filed a two days leave (Thursday and Friday) to really enjoy the campus, my home for almost five years.  As the day draws nearer, I made up my mind to visit some spots, where me and my friends used to hang around when we were still students. I find myself in the...
