Spring Fling in Seoul - To Yeouido Park

After a couple of hours sleep, we were excited to start the day.  First stop of the day was Yeouido Park for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Major places on the list though is the cherry blossom at Yeouido and the Gyeongbokgung Palace.

In this post, I will be sharing a glimpse of where we we stayed during our stay in Seoul.  Then the train ride from our place to the park.

We arrived late and raining the night before, so we really do not know what's outside our door that is why were are excited to go out and see Seoul.

There were six of us to share one bathroom, so we started our real morning at 6am.  Some prepared breakfast while some started bath.  We took turns in using the bathroom.  Thanks to the heater, the water was comfortable to use.

Almost ready.  Our friend Jasper came.  He is our high school and college school mate.  Though batches apart, but the thought that we came from same school, we kind of connect anytime.  That's the MMA camaraderie and the MVC brotherhood and sisterhood.  Our friends assured us that the weather would be pleasant.  But for most of us who were not used to temperature less than 18 degrees , pinaghandaan jud ng mga damit na pang lamig. Just do not ask us where our clothes came from. lol!

This is the house number in this small little street as show below.

It rained that night, so that explains the small puddies.

The little store right at the entry of our street.  It's just like the little tiangge we have back home.

Remembrance pose for the first day out. lol!
The picture taking galore started right out of the gate.  Took time for all the girls to have a solo pose.
Good thing we were still waiting for Jaycel, a former workmate back at the hospital, so we abused the time to pose here and there. lol!

All these stuff and more are sold at the small market, just a few steps from our house.
The price looks expensive. lol! I mean for us who are on a travel budget, 5,000 is already something. too much for a mound of tomatoes.

The place where we were staying at is just a stone throw away from Sinimun Station.  That was our landmark.  We have to remember that.  So here's us approaching the station.

From Sinimum, we got off at Jongno-sam-ga
then transfer to ride that will bring us to Yeouido Park.

Our guides, checking the subway map using their phones.
Thanks really to them.  We were so sure we will never be lost on our first day in Seoul.

Hmmm we're almost there!

We got off the train, went down, and up and up and down.
Oh well, I was not really prepared for that.  It was still the start of our journey! lol!

Looking for the exit! So we went up.
#1  Yeouido Park

Excited!
Pero gi hangak nako gamay. lol!
All them them walks so fast. I was lagging behind, at my own pace.

When using the escalator and do not have plans of walking up or down in it, always stay RIGHT.
So those who are in a hurry can walk up by the LEFT side.

To be continued...

Arriving at Yeouido Park.
