Spring Fling in Seoul - To Yeouido Park

Image
After a couple of hours sleep, we were excited to start the day.  First stop of the day was Yeouido Park for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Major places on the list though is the cherry blossom at Yeouido and the Gyeongbokgung Palace. In this post, I will be sharing a glimpse of where we we stayed during our stay in Seoul.  Then the train ride from our place to the park. We arrived late and raining the night before, so we really do not know what's outside our door that is why were are excited to go out and see Seoul.  There were six of us to share one bathroom, so we started our real morning at 6am.  Some prepared breakfast while some started bath.  We took turns in using the bathroom.  Thanks to the heater, the water was comfortable to use.  Almost ready.  Our friend Jasper came.  He is our high school and college school mate.  Though batches apart, but the thought that we came from same school, we kind of connect anytime.  That's the MMA camaraderie and the MVC broth

Facebook Flashback | June 15, 2012

What I love with Facebook Flashbacks are the travel pics I shared a year or many years ago.  So I thought of posting these flashbacks here in my blog, since I do not have a narrative post of any of my previous travels or even a postcard type (photo sharing with short description). I will start with what's shared today.  @the Resort's Bar  We were admiring the decorative wine bottles @the balcony of one of their cottages These are pics of Tata and me at Thalatta Resort in Dumaguete City.  We just hope in there for awhile (photo opps) because we found ourselves passing by their resort while doing our morning walk. There were three (3) of us.  Me, Lalay, and Tata. For sure, it was Lalay who took this photo, since he is not included in the picture. We did two things here: 1.  We took pictures 2.  I bought postcards for my collection Oh this is my first time in Dumaguete en route to Siquijor Island. :)

Tinago Falls | Unexpected Visit

Image
This is such a welcome sight after days of short-hours sleep!  Should I turned down the invitation - I will surely miss this view. Haven't been here in awhile - She's a beauty that gives out a message to any visitor leaving,  "come visit me again". The trek down is easy breezy but my challenge is in the long hike going back.  With my weight and clumsyness issues - i never make it to the top in 5 minutes, even if I piggy ride a strong porter's back. lol! I hope that the visitors we brought here yesterday enjoyed the view as much as I did. Maayong Iligan!

My New Travel Buddy | Smart Bro 4G Pocket Wifi

Image
Living in this internet ear, we all love to be connected with the people we love and care about any time but much more especially when we are far from them.  I experienced being on the road for several days and I have no connection because of zero telecom signal.  It's nice in some way because it feels like you are cut out from the world.  A day or two is good but for seven days, nah! I get kinda crazy.  This shall not happen again!  Never.  Why? Here's why... Tada! A Smart Bro 4G Pocket Wifi! Very light and handy that its size and weight makes it so convenient to be carried around.  Even in evening formal dinners, it's easy to slip in your sexy pouch!  So whenever I hit the road where ever it may be, this pocket wifi is one of the important things I carry in my bag. Here are the reasons why I grabbed this smart stuff: - it's cheap! Only at Php 888.00. - FREE Internet for 3 months (pre-load) (350 MB/month) - it's a great barkad

My Experiences in Getting a Korean Visa

Image
Few weeks after a fun-trav'ling with  friends to Saigon & Phnom Penh mid last year (2015), Cebu Pacific had a sale again. So together with few of my laag/lagaw mates, we booked a ticket to Incheon, Korea. The things to prepare and processes were so far from mind when we purchased the tickets.  Chat boxes were a kilometer long and the text messages kept on coming in for an update.  They need to know an update if he or she was able to book.  OH well, when piso sale is on, it is so hard to book a ticket.  All wanted to go to Korea for only one reason - to have a picture taken with a "real" cherry blossom. lol!  Yes, cherry blossom was the reason. Thanks to Mr. Google for allowing us to browse on what to do and what to prepare when applying for a Korean visa.  I left all the reading to my friends because I do not want to mess my mind with things happening at work.   We read that the high time to apply for a visa was three (3) months before the travel d

My Experience in Getting a US Visa

Image
I applied for a US visa in 2014. I failed to write about it because I was caught up with lots of deadlines.  Now that I have applied for another visa, I just then thought that it is a high time for me to write about this. I will be sharing in this post my experience in getting a US visa. Just the experience because applying for one is just as easy as eating peanuts, thanks to Mr. Google. The reason why I applied for a US visa was to attend a convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. I remember that I tried to delay the process because of my (MBA) studies. But then, we had a in-campus meeting, as requirement for out-of-campus extension learning,I grabbed the chance to schedule for an interview. I read many blogs and write ups on how to apply for US visa and those readings boosted my confidence to process. Ever heard that USA is the land of the free and they likened it to the land that is flowing with milk and honey? I cannot remember anymore when and where I heard that, but then I b

Valentine's Day Selfie

Image
Today is Valentine's Day 2016 and this is my selfie! lol!   "Pretty you say But dateless, see! Yet she smiles As lovely as she's always been"  Ha ha ha I relate so much. pretty (ayaw ug palag) dateless (bow!) smiles (oh got lots of it to be shared to anyone) This special day for couples or those who are in love falls on a Sunday.  Since I am dateless, I spent half of the day in the office and I was able to make this selfie. Even without a date, the day is still memorable because I received a stemmed-rose high Tobleron from a sweet and thoughtful friend and a coloring book from the dear daughter.  If you read this and thinks it's not worth blogging, oh well, this will serve me when memory fails.  I am not getting younger anymore. And oh an old music I fell in love with today - Can I Have This Dance by Anne Murray. Allow me to enumerate a bit of my memorable past Valentines February 2014 - we were enjoying our time in Ilocos. I Did Something Crazy!!!

Love is an Open Door! The first thing that comes to mind after I did something crazy ! I am singing "I did something crazy!instead of "can i say something crazy?"..." And oh how I wish someone will answer, "I love crazy!" But nobody will because what I did is not really funny!  especially for my host. I think she almost had a heart attack!  Good  thing she is fit and strong, so she just felt sad for me. I am not really sad of what I did.  I was not in my right mind when I tried cleaning up folders in my cpanel.  I thought I just deleted stuff one by one, but after awhile, I discovered all the folders gone! I messaged my ever-patient host to check up my cpanel and indeed all the folders are gone!  In other words - All my blogs are gone! @^@ www.sunshineleneforlife.com www.midlifedancing.com www.ilovepostcrossing.info www.allabouther.info I thought it is goodbye forever.  I thought there is no hope of getting it back but good news, "some a
