Menorca's Top Attractions for the Whole Family

Image
Menorca is the perfect holiday destination for the family, and it’s no wonder why millions of tourists flock here every year. Menorca remains one of the best places to enjoy unspoilt Spain, with a lasting appeal for everyone. The major holiday resorts are family friendly, the beaches are superb and the nightlife is low key yet sophisticated, plus there is also a rich history to explore across the island. The Horse Show at Club Escola Menorquina Without a doubt, Menorca is an island where horses play a big role in its social and cultural life. The beauty of purebred Menorcan horses and their unique style of dressage are on display during these wonderful shows. It’s an opportunity not be missed if you find yourself in Menorca, and hopefully it will be something that the kids will enjoy as well. Monte Toro At 358 metres above sea level and Menorca's highest point, a trip to Monte Toro and its 17th Century Sanctuary is an absolute must . The summit is reached by a steep winding road

It is very rare to find such an iconic landmark that is named after the architect who built it. The Eiffel Tower is an attraction that is known all around the world and its success can be attributed to the invention of the lift, which allowed visitors to get to the top without having to climb thousands of stairs. Climbing to the top affords visitors some breathtaking views of the surrounding city and at night, the tower is lit up making it an impressive luminous

The other week,  attended a workshop seminar on Radio Production. There were fourteen of us that came from the hospital & college. Good thing I decided to go since my initial response to the invitation was, "i won't go>" I can just imagine if I have mis.ed it - I will miss learning many things during the workshop and... This too... (read on) After our first day session, we have almost three hours to go before our evening program. Since I was with few "laag enthusiasts" we decided to have a quick round of the city aboard Ging's vehicle. I was the only rose among the thorns and that gave me the privilege of sitting in front. Another fortunate thing that took place was, Meljoie, another close friend of mind, gave me the liberty to borrow his Canon DSLR camera. He was suppose to be one of the photographers in the program, but since he also have other tasks to do, his camera was left at our table under my mercy. lol! A thing which I just love because I mis

I was informed of this the past days so I look forward to today to see what they got to offer.  And yes, indeed the prices are very very low compared to regular air fare.  One thing though, it is not a Monday Madness that travel for the current week or at least next week, but it is applicable for early booking flights and the "sale" price is good for one way only, not for both ways.  It is really catchy for those who are always on the lookout for cheap fares.  For those who are frequent flyers, they are still able to save some hundred or pesos.  This madness is not only for domestic flights but also applicable for some international flights. For those who want to avail of this madness today, here are their terms and conditions for this promotion: Terms and Conditions for Monday Madness Choice Destinations at Super Low Prices: Travel period for Domestic flights is from August 1 – October 31, 2013. April Recap in Photos

Image
Few days before April ended, I have already thought about doing this - making a recap of what I did during the month that is just about to end.  Then the next thing I thought, which blog should I post the update?  My main blog or any of the travel blogs ? Then few days after May started, I began putting photos together through Fotolor dot com.  After finishing the collage, I still find myself lazy to begin the post. And now, May 8 in the evening, I hope I will have the strength to finish up the whole post. 1. April 3-7, 2013 . I attended the 60th Anniversary Homecoming in Mountain View College, my college Alma Mater. It was a few days of meeting old friends and making new ones. It was a fun time of reminiscing days gone by.  ^^&&^^ 2. April 17-18 . Together with the Marketing team of the hospital, we traveled to Mountain View College to promote our newest hospital services, the Stem Cell Therapy.  The group stayed overnight but me and Tata finished the Thursday night program,

A Day in Camiguin | The Purpose

Image
It was three in the morning when we left Iligan. Thank God for the traveling mercies that we arrived Camiguin on time for Breakfast . In this post, I would like to share a bit of why were went to Camiguin that day. We were all excited that waking up before three in the morning was not a hassle. Me personally was excited because it's been awhile since the last time I visited Camiguin. If I remember it right, it was in May 2006 during the Labor day holiday with a weekend following it. So I was all ready with my camera because I know that I would love the view going there. The lighthouse at Balinguan Port. Taken while up at the barge already. Camiguin Island as seen from Bainguan Port This is telling us that we are nearing the Island At last we arrived @ Benoni Port From the port we directly went to JJ Pen Fish Restaurant. While our fish for breakfast is being cooked, we saw this water snake. It looks venomous. I was so scared. It reminds me that indeed it is a year of the snake.  It

Touchdown @ Laoag International Airport | First Night

Image
Our flight out of Manila was quarter before ten in the evening.  Me and my companions are very excited of the flight as it would be our first flight to the Northern part of the Philippines, much more to the famous Ilocandia region - Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur. So when we the plane landed, we are so excited to grab our bags at the overhead bin. When I deplaned, the thing I felt was the cold wind that splash my face. I said to myself, wow ang lamig ng Ilocos! :D When I saw this, I felt a rush of excitement because surely I will be able to see these windmills for real and up close. :) This is a part of the itinerary in Day 2 tour. The airport terminal is small. Almost like Cagayan de Oro City and currently it is undergoing some major renovation that they don't have baggage belt. I am sure in the next I will visit, meron na din sila. The baggage were just hand-carried by the airport ground personnel and we have to grab it from one corner. But the place is far from this point with the

One Day in Camiguin | Dinner

Image
Unfortunately, we were stranded in the island. Not that we missed the boat trip, but there was some mechanical problem on the barge that the management advised them not to travel.  We waited for an hour though to have the final word.  When the reality sank into our head, and after calling families that we cannot make it, we headed to town to buy some personal stuff.  Lucky are those who remembered to grab on an extra shirt and extra undies. lol! So we went back to the place where we had our breakfast .   Not just to have dinner but also to sleep.  Yes, at J & A Fishpen, they have aircon and non-airconditioned dormitories.  We took the non-aircon @ Php 1,000.00 for ten people. Sorry I forgot to take a shot of the room.  But it was really a cozy one with enough bathrooms, enough comfort rooms, and wash sinks outside the room.  The beds were sturdy built and strong enough to be in place even if someone as big as me will go up the second deck.  But I opted to stay down because it is me

One day in Camiguin | Breakfast

Image
Last week, Friday, I went along with some of Administrative officers to check out an important property in Camiguin. To find out later, the exact location was in Sagay. We started from home at 3AM and after a land trip and a short time sailing from Balinguan to Benoni pier, we arrived Camiguin safely. We had breafast at J & A Fishpen Restaurant . @ the front of the restaurant It was here that the guy took the fishes for our orders. So it is like you point and they catch that for you and they cook it according to what you like. Before our orders arrived, we had the time to around the place and took some photos.  Here are some more of my clicked photos: We ordered fish tinola and grilled fish. A simple but satisfying Filipino breakfast. The warm soup really warmed our cold tummies. :)  After sometime, our ordered arrived! ++++ J & A Resort and Restaurant Taguines Lagoon Benoni, Camiguin A very accessible place to dine when you arrive Camiguin through Benoni Pier.
