Triangle Tour: NPC Nature Park

This post is a next part to my post, Triangle Post: Iligan City's Military Camp.

It is not my first time to come into the campus of NPC's Nature Park.  The last time last February and we went in to see the Maria Cristina Falls only.  But for now, if you visit Iligan City and decided to visit this Nature Park then that is a Plus 1 because of the Maria Cristina Falls.

The Nature is our second itinerary last August 7.  The park is situated inside the compound of the Agus 7.    To get in, one must register at the gate and pay the corresponding fee if you belong to the category you can see in the photo.  Effective July last year, everyone who comes in register and pays.  But those who comes in for business transaction like suppliers, then they are exempted of the fee.

The park is open 7 days a week from 9 am until 4 pm.

The place is really not far from my place, but long time back (am an Iliganon) it is not easy to visit the compound anytime.  A group can come in if you an approved letter of request from the Management.  But for now, because they of this park, they have opened the compound to the public and I trust you this is one of the must see place if you happen to drop by in Iligan.

What awaits you inside?

Check this out:

  • Crocodile Park

  • Ostrich Park

  • Butterfly Garden

  • Orchidarium

  • Wishing Well

  • Hanging Bridge

  • Canteen & Souvenir Shop

  • Tree-top Tours/Zipline

  • Maria Cristina Falls

Each corner mentioned above is a glorious grove of nature.  I wanna go back there with my family so that they too can enjoy the beauty of nature.  I know not all knew that there is this nature park where families can get together for a meal and enjoy the view of the falls, or the view of gushing wild river, or the view of the beautiful flowers.

We had lunch at the Canteen & Souvenir shop where we had the majestic view of Maria and Cristina in all her splendor.  One can be awed of the beauty that you at times forget to munch your food.  Because this visit is being timed, so we had quick lunch so that those who wanted to view the treetops and zip can still do it.  We are still off to another destination after the NPC Zip line adventure.

The water was in full blast.  It's good to see "Maria and Cristina" happily showing off her beauty.

Personal thanks goes to the City Tourism through Mr. Pat D. Noel, one of our BOT in the IBS.

Enjoy Iligan!
